Computer Programming for Scientists and Engineers (COMP 1012)

An introduction to computer programming suitable for solving problems in science and engineering. Students will implement algorithms for numerical processing, statistical analysis and matrix operations.

All programming was performed in Python, using Spyder.

As the T.A. for this course for about 90 students, I:

  • Conducted weekly lab sessions where I:
    • Presented lab materials to students on a Projector
    • Debugged students’ code
    • Evaluated submissions
    • Explained course concepts with elaborate examples
  • Collaborated with the course instructor to invigilate mid-terms and the final exam.
